The outer control hydraulic lever wants to spring to 10 o'clock position and gives very poor position control. Only have the 16045 a few weeks so I do not know if the draft is working accurately or not.
Could this be a valve problem or a linkage problem. I have never had a top of before but am prepared to try it, if I know what I am looking for.
Hooked up a 4 score reversable today just to move it to another shed... The 160 lifted it first time reluctantly, but not high enough to turn plough. second time only just managed to get it off the ground. Does this mean I need a new pump, or is there somthing I don't know?
Can a pump be recondationed?
I turned a screw located under the seat assuming it may be a release valve, but turning made no difference, it doesn't bottom out or do anything.
they dont recomment reconditioning pumps ,the screw under seat could lock the lift.did u try to see if the handle is in draft or poistion.also the cylinder under the lift cover ,the seals could be gone &shes leaking oil back into itself
Thanks for info.
Waiting for a CD operators and workshop manual to arrive before i lift top off.
By the sound of things I probably best re seal inner ram and check lever linkage then test before I bother with pump.
ok,theres a few handyman jobs u can try ur self with the tractor around the yard if u dont have a pressure gauge,it may give u an idea to which ull be working on.do u some homemade tests?
Check your pump pressure on one of the spool valves before removing anything. Hyd pumps are not expensive compared to other makes and can be changed easily through the inspection hole on the left side of the tractor behind the clutch. pressure should be 2000 PSI at 1500 RPM
