I'm looking at a Zetor 6245 (Ser.#020751) which I'm told is a 1992 model. It has a Zetor front end loader and bucket, no cab, and no roll bar. The hydraulic pump howls badly, so I know it needs replacing. The rear tires are pristine, but the front are badly worn. On the plus side, the engine purrs like a kitten and there are no leaks on any of the hydraulics or seals (with the exception of the PTO shaft). It drives and shifts fine, and appears to have very little slack or wear in the U-joints. The overall appearance is that it has been used, but not abused.
The meter shows 800+ hours, but it has been replaced (the best guess at this point is that the actual hours are around 2000).
The asking price is $12,000 (outside Houston, Texas if that helps). I'm quessing I can get a $1000 knocked off of that easily enough because of the pump and tires.
Too high, too low, ballpark???
hydraulic pumps are easy as hell to change. as are pto seals!
uj joints on the propshaft are easily available from sparex and cost 15 (sorry i dont know in dollars)
