Hi guys, new member here.
Looking for help please, have a 2010 proxima plus 10541 which has problem with left rear brake sticking when doing road work, on long distances it start to stick to such a point once i pulled over got out and spat on the backend and it sizzled!! Local dealer been at it twice this summer (started doin a bit o contracting, round baling so on the road more) and his solution is to back off adjuster half a turn-which solves the problem, but in my book thats not the solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I've had this many times on a Proxima. It is caused by the piston rusting in the slave cylinder. The answer is strip it out and clean it up, assemble with some rubber grease. When adjusting, tighten until it locks the wheel then back off 7 flats of the nut. Also had the handbrake cable and linkage sticking so that's worth a check too.
