Hello Renze, I have a Proxima 6421 which is leaking oil around the PTO shaft. I have a new seal ready to fit but I'm worried that when I remove the Bush, a lot of oil will flow out?
If yes, will I need to drain the Transmission oil before removing the 4 bolts around the PTO shaft?
If yes, do I need to drain all 62L of oil or just some of it?

Thank you
James

... Hello, Iam James and this is my Zetor Proxima 6421 (photo/s)... is it realy so hard? ;) :)

Hello James,
If yes, will I need to drain the Transmission oil before removing the 4 bolts around the PTO shaft?
Yes the transmission oil will flush out when you remove it. So drain the oil beforehand.
Or drive the tractor into a steep ditch with the front axle; this is usually enough and you don't have to drain the oil separately.

If yes, do I need to drain all 62L of oil or just some of it?
No, not the entire 62 liters, but most of it, some of it remains in the brake housings, which each have their own drain plugs for this.
