Merry Xmas
I have just got a PTO Flat Belt Drive and the previous owner is sure that it is off a Zetor .

It looks as though it mounts over the six spline PTO shaft out the back and has 4 bolt holes on the mounting flange that just take 12mm bolts. 115mm centres. I have yet to measure my 7045 as I am away from it for a few weeks.

The 5011 - 7045 parts manual shows one but there are some differences evident. The 7045 diagram has a second bearing retainer plate for the bearing at the opposite end to the pulley on the pulley cross shaft.

The one I have uses the plate behind the pulley to access both bearings for the pulley shaft. Also the oil plug located differently.

If it is Zetor ( and many other parts look similar to the parts manual ) then the orange colour may signal Crystal. All the Crystals I have seen over here are orange.

Numbers on the casting are " D923299 " raised
and under that "RB2 " sunken .

Any help with information will be very much appreciated.
These are not seen around much now days as modern machinery has gone away from flat belt drives. It would be nice to know what it is off.

Possible use I have is to drive a wood saw for cutting up trimmings form local scrub for firewood.

it doesnt resemble Zetor numbers, and Zetor parts were gold, mint green or dark green, never this orange. At least, the Super 50 and 25 models were never sold in australia/NZ

Thank You Renze. Your mention of the early models is a good lead for me to follow up.
Dark geen is what I would expect over here looking at the older Zetors around. Crystals are the exception with orange/red.

Do you know if there was a PTO belt drive for Crystals as this is a fairly heavy gearbox.
The unit is about 34 kg and looks unused so I am keen to build a saw around it. Input to output gearing appear to be 17 to 24 which is a step up ratio of about 1.4.

With the belts pulleys I have, a 600mm saw could run at cutting speed with the motor chugging over at about 1500 rpm with plenty of power to spare. A bigger saw would allow lower engine revs.

Perhaps the casting numbers are not part numbers but I not familiar with Zetor practice for that. Any help in identification or hints as to where I might look even to rule out possibilities will be very much appreciated.
I haven't even found a picture of a Zetor with a rear belt drive. ( yet )
Thanks. Bob

Our firewood saw is a conversion of a conversion: In the old days someone converted a fodder beet cutter to flat belt drive: the converted beet cutter was converted to a circular saw: Later we cut a wheel and hub off an old Fiat car, flanged a 6 spline PTO shaft between the rim and wheel studs, and had the car wheel drive the flat pulley on the firewood saw.
Using the transmission PTO setting (hi/lo in neutral, transmission in 4th) we saw at 1300rpm. The tire acts as a slip clutch, if you dont inflate it over 1.5 bar. You can even saw on a flat tire, but it will squeek in heavy logs.

I wouldnt bother about putting the angle gear on your tractor, too time consuming to put it on and off.
