Hi all this silage season i am planning to pull a trailer with my 7045 but unfortunitly it does not have enough hydraulic spools to tip the trailer, work the trailer door and also use as trailer brakes. i have been thinking of other ways to put in extra spools without having to do it profesionally i have thought of a pump that can be pluged straight onto the pto and have levers off of that and pipes which can connect straight to the trailer i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how i can do this and wether it is possible or even if anyone knows hoe i could connect more spools direct into the tractor my self thanks for reading.

You have several options, simplest but most expensive is to plumb a 3 lever spool valve, configured for 2 single acting and 1 double, depending on whether the tailboard is single or 2-way rams. The tip and the tailboard wants a detented lever whilst the one for the brakes would be better with a spring return.
This can be run off the existing tapping with the tractor lever on constant pumping and would be better returned direct to the transmision rather than through the other tapping. It can also lead to oil overheating if the tractor is used at high revs for a long time.
The other way is to mount a diverter valve across a pair of pipes , for example, the tailgate and the tip could share the rearward section of the tractor lever , this way because it will hold the pressure, and then the foreward movement can be used for the trailer brakes, because when you let the lever go it will release pressure. We have used this system, but the downside is you can't use trailer brakes when tipping the trailer.
A proper hydraulic trailer brake kit used to be available from Zetor . but I think it required modification or replacement of the pump plate. Maybe Mike can comment on this.

Thanks
for that Dave if i was to split the reverse position of the existing lever so it works the tail board and the tipper would i lose tipping power on the main tipping ram of the trailer?
Thanks again
Tom
