Hi all,

The pto won't turn off with the leaver beside the steering wheel. Any one know what's wrong? It's a zetor 8111.

Cheers

are you sure its not turning off??
on our 8011
if theres no implement connected to the shaft it sometimes just turns, presumably by drag on the cluch plates...

connect an implement and it works properly on the lever

Thanks Ricc. That's right it seems like that , I can actually stop it with my hand when it's turned off or if I drop the revs to 900rpm. I didn't get to attach an impliment as its in the shed! Just replaced the head gasket.

So it's normal for that to happen? Haven't much experience with zetors

your torque pump is nearly or is gone, check your high & low is working. this can still work for a little longer but if your pto wont turn off, the tractor soon will be stuck in low too.

Hi dif Farmer, the torque is working and the pto will turn off with the leaver to the right of the seat it's just the pto leaver at the steering wheel that won't turn off the pto.

I hope it's not the torque pump and I think I read somewhere that the tractor must be split to install a new one? Have u experience of this before?

Yes I have done this job quite a few times. And yes the tractor has to be spilt at the bell housing to get at the torque pump. b

Good news it's not the torque pump. Got it tested for pressure and all looks ok. Called over to a neighbour and he has the same issue with his 8011 for years so it looks like Ricc was right, Prob just drag. Thanks lads.
