anyone know anything about them?Just trying to revive the live of the one in our 5341.when you press the on/off button nothing happens and nothing happens on the viewing screen . Can anyone list the possibilities why it is broken and i will check them out. a bit of an off topic i know, but TIA to anyone who can reply

i will try to find out the make of the radio in case any other Super drivers have a similar one

Just loose the two bolts wich hold the roof in front of the cabin, then you lift the roof in the front and then you can see the installation of the radio, you will find a fuse I think and maybe you have a meeter so you can check the power to the radio. It can be installed in different ways so you maybe need to follow the cable and see where it is connected, you can also have another fuse broken, are the fans in the cabin working?

Regards Tage W.

the stereo is a Phillips RC 169. Is it really necessary to lift off the cab roof? Whereabouts is the fuse? couldn't you just loosen the screws on the side of the stereo and pull the unit out so far?

Thanks anyway

Yes of course you can only loose the radio, but it is very easy to unscrew the two bolts for the roof and then you can lift the roof in the front, you dont take the roof away only lift it in the front.
On my 6341 there was a fuse on the power cable to the radio but it can be different because it depends who has installed the radio. I dont think Zetor has intalled them, but I also have any type of Philips.
But if you lift the roof you can see where the radio are connected, I recommend it and it is very easy, the radio and the heater, fans and everything does NOT come with the roof, it is only the plastic outher roof you lift, you can put a long screwdriver or something wich hold the roof for youin the front of cabin.

well i've checked it out tonight and it isn't the fuse. I think the problem is down to a broken wire that needs re-soldering. The wire is only small and i don't know where it is supposed to solder on to. I will ask my Zetor dealer now. Thanks.

my Case had a Phillips RC 169 (it's here in front of me) and there is a 5 amp fuse on the radio side of the DIN socket. On mine the screen quit so I put a Pioneer in instead. there should be 2 release wires that come with the radio that plug into the side and she pulls straight out.

I also checked what model I have in my Zetor and it is also a RC 169. In my radio the display was dark too, but there are two very small lamps for the backlight and after I had changed and soldered these two lamps it was much easier to see wich station I had on the radio. The radio was working even before but it was dark in the display.
It is not so easy to change these lamps, you need a very small solderiron and other equipments but for a radioservice it is very easy I think.

What kind & where are the speakers located for the factory radio? I have a 4341 Cab model & thinking about adding a radio

I dont know if it is a factory installed radio in my 6341, its maybe the first owner who installed it. The speakers in my tractor is mounted just behind the doors up under the roof, it is a type of small speaker in "an own house" - do you understand what I mean, I cant find the right word for it now. If you lift the roof you cat put the wires under some tape on the cabinframe and let them be between the roof and the frame.

Best regards Tage W.

ok, just identified the problem (long time coming i know!) A little wire needs re-soldering. Which type of solder wire should i use? Tin lead or lead free? What's the difference? Never was much of an electrician.....;)

TIA

Phil

Phil - to be environmentally sensitive, go for lead free. By 2007, all solder will have to be lead free. The radio won't care which you use however.
