Hi everyone, I have just had my injector pump rebuilt in hope of curing a problem with the engine wanting to race away and die with any load etc, anyway was wondering if I have to re time the pump to the engine or reinstall it in the position it was in (was a stamped mark on the pump and engine block)?
You can fine tune it by keeping the 3 bolts loose ish, run the warm engine at 1000rpm and listen. Turn the pump with a pipe wrench in its slot holes untill it sounds good. Too early will make it sound sharp and knock, too late will make it sound hollow.
