Can anyone explain about the relief valve for me , I replaced my Hyd pump but not the relief valve .

At first I thought I solved my problem as the loader worked much more quickly , but as soon as I put any load on it it could hardly lift and the pump was noisy . Do you think the relief ( or safety valve ) valve could be the problem and can you improve the pressure by "turning it "as I saw in a post from Popeye .

should I just fit a new relief valve - what else can Itry ?

Thanks

Flax

I have not , where should I look for the relief valve on the loader spool valve please?

Another question , the two little o rings that go on the plate that supports the hydraulic pump by the side of the gasket , how important are for the operation of the hydraulics , I think I left one out

It actually the one on the locating stud, opposite to the standpipe , the one on the standpipe I definately put on , but I suppose the one on the stud is there for a reason ?

Allways replace these little buggers when you change the pump... though made of rubber, they are dirt cheap and a good investment, cost compared to risk of causing failure after taking off and putting back on.
