I am trying to shift the PTO shaft from the 540 rm shaft to the 1000 rm shaft but having some problems getting the shaft out. I have taken the 4 bolt around the shaft out and removed the secure shield and set the hydraulic power lift and pto shaft drive engagement lever to neutral. Are there something I have missed or shall I use more force?

If your tractor has the replaceable endpiece, you must undo an inner hex head screw in the center of the endpiece.

If you have a solid endpiece, then its not replaceable.

Oh. My Zetor 7045 from 1984 have a solid PTO endpiece. I did not know that there was different version of the Zetor 7045 regarding PTO endpiece. Sow it can never run 1000 rpm on the PTO?

If yours has a 540/1000rpm pto the selector is right in front of the seat. You have to twist it allmost 180 degrees to change speed. Use WD40 if required

Thanks. I dont think there is a selector, but there is a lid there maybe can be opened. Can it be under the lid? I have made 2 picture of the lid.

Is your tractor equipped with the shuttle reverser (10/10) or the crawl gear (20/4) transmission ?? Then it certainly doesnt have two PTO speeds.

What i think i see is a universal lid casting, on which the hole for the 540/1000rpm selector lever isnt machined.

while operating the PTO via the gearbox (high/low range lever in neutral) you get 800rpm in 4th gear and 1300 in 5th. But then its limited to stationary applications only, and you wont have hydraulics then.

it cant have either the shuttle reverser 10/10 or crawl gear 20/4 because the shifters for these goes in the place where the 1000/540 lever should be, as shown on the pictures this has neither and the 7045 shure didnt have any of the features, i can conclude with the fact that your tractor has no 1000 rpm pto.

Thank for the answers. So I can conclude the 7045 have two version of the gearbox. One with 540/1000 PTO and one with only 540 PTO.
I found a picture and a English manual for the 7045 there have 540/1000 PTO.
