We recentky purchased a new 11441 from our local dealer. We have had her for over a fortnight now and are still worried about the excessive smoke billowing from her exhaust! Has anyone else experienced this problem?

We are very happy with her. Although build quality isnt as good as in our other zetor tractors like the 7745T or 7341ST. The reason why i say this is because already there is rust on those poorly painted front mesh on the engine panels. Another is there is a large piece of rough unpainted metal behind the internal door catch. looks like some one has attacked it with a grinder and never bothered to paint it!

ALSO she revs out to 2400rpm. should she rev out this far. Our othr tractors only reved out to 2200/2300 when they were new?

Thanks for a great website

We have had 11441 since february and I have noticed also this smoking, especially with lower rpm:s. And I have found that engine is a littlebit lazy with lower rpm but there is really nise torgue with higher rpm:s.

I don't agree with you in this finishing-quality. I think that it is in same level as previos Zetors.

GOD DAMIT, you are running in your machine, IT IS NOT THE RIGHT TIME TO TEST THE MAXIMUM RPM!!! Rated rpm is 2200 but the engine takes about 2400 rpm.

yeah very smokey on the low band of revs but once she hits about 1500rpm she has really good torque and pulls away well. I was driving both the 7341 and 7745 today and i think of how zetor has come through all the troubles it had and are now making a good high spec tractor that can really pack the punch against other competition. I test drove a mccormick at the time we were looking at a new tractor and i can quite truthfully say zetor any day. well i contacted our dealer about the smoke the other day and he says they seem to do that at the start when they arent worn in!
???
Has anyone found a beacon that fits a zetor well?? Thats one thing they should think about when making a new tractor. A simple metal plate on the inside of the roof so you could stick your magmount cb or beacon on to it!???

That's why I drive a Crystal! :)

Tom

p.s. The entire roof is metal so you can mag-attach a beacon anywhere and when it hits tree it just pops off safely.[/]

Regarding mounting a beacon. When we got our 8540 we asked our dealer to put a metal plate on the roof, so simply they siliconed a galvanised plate on the roof. may sound drastic but it looks tidy and works really well. on our 7245 i made an L[/] shaped bracket to bolt on the side of the cab. it uses the bolts that hold the roof on to the cab, the ones on the side. doing this allowed for a boltable beacon which i wired in to the power off the fans and mounted a switch as well. Using this bracket allows the beacon to be folded down to cab height for building acess. Also you could put one on the other side as well, and have a mickey mouse tractor;). Though recently i saw a super (7341 ish) which had used the massey fergusson foldable beacon. So there are a lot of options to mount the beacon.

i put a metal plate on our 7341 by siliconing it to the roof and ran the cable down sunroof and then down inside of roof cladding.was good job but lost 3 beacons with trees etc!
So my next plan was to get 2 ford britax beacons. I bought the galvanised mounting brackets for them too. On the fords the bracket fits on to the top cab lights but instead i just bolted them through the top of cab. They have lasted 2 years and im very happy with them. They are the bendy ones so when u hit a tree they deflect of it and spring back up.

I wiring them into the heaters good? i wired them in to the wee cab light. They are mickey mouse style and they work fine!

do zetor make a beacon or fit a certain type or bracket as standard??
Thanks for all the good advise

Hi,

They do smoke abit, mine have always smoked and the beacon problem i solved by welding some small box section to the mirror arm braket, then on top welded a round plate the same size as a britax beacon and bolted them to the plate.

Works quite well until you have togo under trees. Mind you only had to replace 2 tops so far, but at least the massey has got a proper built in removable one which is something zetor should think about.

Oh and mine all rev to 2500 and no problems at all from new!!

hey we have a zetor forterra 11741 and it has the same problems. it smokes at lower rpm and when it`s under 5 celcius outside it smokes alot the first 15 minutes and it also makes pretty much rpm.
last week we had another problem, the powershift wasn`t working because in the shift poker were the litle wires broken of the switcher because they just solder it on de switcher so the whole wire was hanging on it and that`s to heavi for a little solder spot. we have also 30.5 32 tires on it and a loader and he`s strong.
sorry for the bad english, I just live here in ontario.
take care
