I have just got a new starter for my 1991 Zetor 7711. I thought I would remember what wires go where but age has got the better of me. I presume the lead from the battery goes to the top terminal on the solenoid but not sure. Can someone please give me a link showing clearly where each wire goes... Thanks

Hi

It's an age thing when the memory fails !! It comes to us all.
Top big terminal on solenoid has the main battery lead and the thick red wire. The brown wire pushes onto the spade terminal.

Thanks... Did as you said... now no power??/

no dash lights... battery fully charged???

Have You 12 V on the thick red and on the thin brown when you push the start button? If yes you can cross the solenoid terminals (varning be careful) and if it not starts I think, as Mike already said, you have a earth problem. It might also be the main switch that have high contact resistance with high voltage drop at high amps. I presume you have checked the battery condition?
