I know this is a really dumb question but I have a friend who has a problem with a 3110 diesel tractor. He can start the engine no problem via the key starter switch but he hasn't worked out how to stop it running ! , he can take the key out but the motor keeps running , is there a stop switch / button somewhere ? Also does anyone know where he can get a Manual for this model ? I think the tractor is about 45 years old !
Thanks in anticipation.
Mike
The only way to shut down a diesel engine is to stop the fuel supply. Push throttle lever down to the closed position. If this does not work adust linkage to injector pump to close vale completely. Hope this helps.
Thanks to both of you for your replies. I meant 3011 of course ,I will call on him in the next couple of hours and pass on the info. Think he also has a problem with the hydraulic bucket on the front , will also try and get details. Thanks again.
