temp sensor location on 8540

I just cant seem to find it. looked on rear left of motor as suggested but no luck. was also told maybe on injector rail but that was a negative also. out of all of the things that I have fixed this is the hardest lol. please help if possible!!!

Not sure about the 8540 but on my 6745 (and all UR1 series as far as i can tell) the temp sender is screwed into the back (rear) of the water manifold on the right hand (sitting in the seat) side of the engine, pointing towards the fuel tank on mine, but i think the later models went to an under cab tank.

Note on the UR1 it is an Alcohol tube mechanical gauge, not sure on the 8540, may be electric?

It is mounted on the front l/h side of the cylinder head, just below the thermostat housing.
