Has anybody experience or good ideas how to fix a termostart in the inlet manifold on a Zetor 6245, if it is even possible.

I think you will have to replace the unit, it is just a oversize Glow-plug and should be available off the shelf.
i assume it will be a sealed unit and not serviceable.

Thank you
I plan to use a standard glow plug as the one in MF 135 or Ford and connect the return diesel hose via a very small tank like the one in MF 135 to ensure that there always will be fuel .

why would you want to put a thermostart in this tractor ? the automatic cold start is engaged when hand throttle is set to max revs, i never had a zetor not start because it has been to cold........

Because mine is very hard to start when temperature goes against 0 deg. C. After 30 min with the electrical heater there is no problem what so ever. Any ideas?? However after a night in the forest and no electrical possibilities I need some insurance.

do yoy set the hand throttle to max revs when starting ? is the battery good ? a thermo start will only cure the symptom not the problem, if the too above mentioned things is in order it sounds like low compression in your engine.

Throttle put on max and new 3 kw starter, new 180 battery, new cables with soldered connections. Any ideas where to start looking for the starting problems most appreciated. Plus degrees or zero no problems at all, 1 sec. on the starter is enough. You are absolutely right saying I just cure the symptom however what is the problem.

Thank you for replying
Just white smoke that comes immediately when cranking and disappear when it starts. No black smoke.
