I suspect that my thermostat is not working and want to replace it.
I have taken off the flared pipe that runs from the top of the radiator. The thermostat is visible and spins in the metal tube but I cannot get it out. How do I do this?

On a separate matter I am confused about the model numbers for Zetors. Mine is a 1979 4911 - is this a UR1/2 or something else?

Many thanks

There is a wire clip which holds the thermostat in the housing.
The 4911 is one of the UR1 series

Alan,

Many thanks for the information. I'll hopefully be able to get the job done over the weekend.

Cheers

I have had another look at this but am still confused!

Sorry if i am being thick!

The thermostat seems to sit behind a flange but it obviously must come out in the direction of the front of the tractor.
Is what looks like a flange in fact the clip? If so what is the best way to get it out?

Many thanks.
