Hi
these are my two tractors a 1979 6945 and 1987 10111 40kph with duncan cab.
Both supplied new by Vincent Tractors in Fraddon Cornwall.

The 6945 has had different front panels fitted and a Massey Ferguson loader added and was mainly used by us in the forestry the 10111 was only used as a yard tractor 3 months after purchase the engine went and was cheaper to fit an 8011 engine so thats why theres a lack of turbo but I am rectifying this by building a new engine to 10111 spec. I imported a remanufactured block from Czech republic at start of this year.
Big fan of the Zetors as the 6945 is the most reliable tractor I have ever known for starting and not breaking down always were an underrated brand here in the UK and I hope they dont stop producing tractors anytime soon.

Hello and welcome Stephen! :)

Hello . I plan on rebuilding the Zetor 7711 I just got. The engine blew and my friend/ neighbor gave me the tractor. I found coolant in the oil and a bent push rod. Where are you ordering an engine from ? I'm curious if I should maybe order another engine to rebuild . Or fix this one .

I ordered it off a company called ATP in Czech Republic. I see your in canada id imagine the shipping cost would be astronomical as it was over £600 to get it in the UK. When you say the engine blew what do you mean as in headgasket gone or put a rod through the block? I would be inspecting the block before anything bent Pushrod could be caused by inappropriately adjusted rockers as I've had that before. Water in oil could be Headgasket or possibly a porous liner, I'm not sure if these a wet or dry to be honest as ive never had one apart like i have a crystal, I imagine they are wet but I stand to be corrected. Your biggest issue I imagine is sourcing parts as I know Zetor wasnt exactly common over there. I am lucky that most parts can be got in this country but some are impossible to get like the block was as we had a big export market 6-7 years ago were loads were sent back to eastern Europe I know alot of people regret doing it now but the money was there at the time.
