Hello Brad.
The upper link mount is sprung and movable with a torsion bar.
The movement is only relevant if the hydraulic control lever is set to M or D.
In P it is irrelevant and P is used for everything except plowing or heavy tilling.
You can find out everything about the individual control types in the operating instructions for your tractor.
