turbo for a 4341

I raised this issue awhile back but would like to revisit it. I live at 8750 feet elevation and have to deal with a bit of snow. I bought a wrecked 8 foot three point snow thrower and spent last summer rebuilding it. New: cutter bar, main shaft, all bearings, all seals, 25% of the sheet metal, added hyd. cyl. for chute rotation, hyd. cyl. in place of third link (so I can dig harder on packed snow and "pitch up" on loose snow over loose gravel) I even sand blasted it and put on a nice paint job complete with new factory decals.
So... what do we always want/need? More POWER. My 4341 actually works quite well, but at this altitude a turbo would give me about 30% more horse power and possibly 50% more torque without turning up the fuel flow. Does anbody know of a used turbo that would work on a 3.9 litre engine? I have looked around this tractor enough now that I am confidant that I can work out oil supply and ducting ect. But I really would like to avoid buying a new one.
Thanks for your efforts with the forum, it is a big help .

I think you should be looking at a turbo of an engine with about the same air flow:

3.9 liter x 2200 rpm is about the same as 1.9 liter at 4500 rpm, which means that a turbo of a Volkswagen TDI should work.
Or just get a rebuilt swap turbo from a 3.9 Cummins out of a Maxxum or industrial equipment. Those might be a bit easier to find in the USA than VW TDI's ... ;)

Thanks Rense,
I should be able to find one of those. It will be a while before I get to it but I will keep you informed. I have a couple of pictures but I can't figure out how to attach them. If I email them to you can you attach them?
