I have a non-turbo 7745 and am interested in getting more HP out of it. How do I do this on this model tractor?

tighten the happy screw.
i think its the second 22mm locknut from above. untighten it, and adjust the adjusting rod with a screwdriver and retighten.

Lotsa smoke means you're blowing lots of money into the sky. some black smoke under 1000 rpm isnt a problem at all, and some slightly grey smoke under 1500 rpm neither.

How did you end up with a non-turbo 7745 ?
I thought the 7745 was a turbo version of the 7245. apart from it having hydrostatic steering that was about the only difference.

The 7745 engine has a longer stroke than the 7245 engine & was available either with or without a Turbo.
