Can some tell me where zts/zetor ur 11 parts are made now? Is they still building engines? its not possible to find some information about zts on the internet, but it seems like ursus still are using zts engines in some models???

contacted a boy in slovakia. turned out he used to work for zts. (quality control). he said nothing to do with the tractors comes from the factory now. most of the factory has been sold off to private firms. small part of factory still produces lombardini engines under licence. as for ursus as far as i can tell they are still jsut scraping along.(how long for?) from memory i think zts floated a engine project with ursus. so maybe ursus make the engines now. as far as i know only ursus make the parts for the crystals etc now?

anyone else know anything?

Parts are still available.
You can find the web site of Diesel engines manufacturer on: www.dsas.sk despite they are producing just a limit numbers of Diesel engines per year, they became an important supply of pipes to ZETOR CZ
Fragokov is also still working /clutch, brake cylinders/
ZVL ZKL are still doing bearings
Rear transmission parts still are made in Poland by KORURS
Gearbox producer POVAZSKE STROJARNE is brankrupted, but not OEM parts still available on market
Front axle manufacturer VLKANOVSKE STROJARNE also bankrupted, but you can find not original parts, yet
Others main parts as belts, water pumps, hydraulic pumps, gears, cylinders, seals, glasses, valves, rings, lights, labels, etc. still available and can be supplied by me
Last big ZTS contract to KAZACHSTAN, about 50 tractors type 18345 in early the 2000, resulting a blash because of technical problems with shafts on gearbox

seems like DS Martin also have a tier 3 engine.
I wonder, would it be possible to convert my zetor9540 to a 6 cylinder by fitting a Martin diesel?
I also wonder what a new engine will cost.

Per olav, why would you put one of those engines in a 9540 ? You will need to extend the hood, the front driveshaft, powersteering hoses, , fuel hoses, etcetera.
And then i think the UR3 has a 330mm clutch where the UR2 has a 380mm clutch. The power gain will be only at high rpm as the UR3 engine has 25% torque backup and the newer TIER 3 MArtin engine has 5 to 10%

If you want to upgrade, i would get a 1504 engine with 130hp, which will slip right in without any modification. You will still be asking a lot from the 9540 transmission as the torque of 520Nm is as much as the Martin engine did in the 16045. I think only the 16245 did some more torque, 635Nm or so, but at that torque you need to upgrade the drive and PTO clutch as well.

Renze, to convert my 9540 would be just for fun. Its something about the sound of the Martin 6 cyl>:)
Alzet, do you have any idea about price on a new Martin engine??
