a couple of days ago i was going to collect round bales with
my 10245 .i had a 25ft flat bed hooked on and was traveling along a relatively straight part of road ,was doin about 40k when the tractor suddenly veered across the road which was wet .i slammed the brakes but as you know with dry brakes they just locked up .i narrowly avoided an artic lorry comming the other way .the tractor ended up rolling on to its side snapping the trailers drawbar .the rest of the trailer ended up on top of the tractor .i had a very lucky escape with just minor cuts and bruises. and the cause?the track rod end was woren out and simply snapped off leaving the steering ram connected to thin air
PLEASE can everyone check this vital component on their tractor
cause it could cause a massive road accident .i was lucky you might not be
