water leak

hi i have an 8011 with plate under sump cracked and leaking can any 1 tell me the reason why water goes under sump and if i joined 2 pipes coming from block and by passed water under sump what would happen tractor is not doing any hard work i appreciate any advise thank you

The water "under the sump" is an oil cooler. If you were only doing very light work you can join the two vertical pipes , but I would look out for a sump with an intact base or an ali base plate. Later Crystals had a seperate heat exchanger situated next to the oil filter, so that could be an option for you.
