I have a well-loved 2wd 5211 and am looking to add a 4wd tractor with a loader to handle bucket chores and other general work around the farm. Since we grow vegetables, all of our tractors need to be on 72" centers (or thereabouts; the 5211 gets out to around 71").

Someone nearby has a 5245 in decent shape with a loader, but from my manuals and his photos, it appears that 5245s always have fixed welded rims. My specs show front wheels only at 60" (or metric equivalent).

The manuals show larger tractors of the same vintage achieve 72" in front, and from photos I see of newer 3340s, it looks that they come with a two part rim & concave wheel might make 72"

So the question: are there adjustable wheels from another model that will fit the 5245 to gain the additional foot of width? If so which model(s)? And where might one find a used pair?

Thanks, Andy

The fixed flange 5245 front rims can be used at two spacings: 150cm (59 inch) and inside out at 180cm (71 inch)
