I see there are an increasingly number of post regarding batteries charging and low temperatures. I live in norway near the coast and we are currently having temperatures of -20 c.
when i got my 11441 forterra it had by my request alot of working lights mounted because its not alot of light here in the winter short days in winter time. i had at both LH and RH side mounted abowe blinkers and parking light a double beam light with two 55 amp h3 bulbs facing forward two facing backwards in addition to the original work lights thats ten h3 55w bulbs for work lights alone. on top of that there comes the original driving and parking lights and the heater also draw alot of power. So its not alot left to charge the battery. But not long ago i saw an ad in a paper for LED working lighs, the same amount of light as Xenon but no bulbs are ever required to be changed, they have very little power consumption and are usable without any modifications in the power range from nine to 32 wolts. I save about 30 amps of power thath now can go directly to the battery and charge it. So no more power depletion on a cold winter morning :) also the light is fantastic i bought the ones with 8 LEDs and there is also a wersion of 16 Leds but the 8 Led gives more than enough light for a tractor. And its a very god light because its so alike daylight that you dont get tired of it. also the lights has a guaranteed lifetime of 20.000 working hours. thats a tip for you guys that have a big need of lights in the dark time of the year.

Only problem with those led lights is that because they dont produce heat, them will be covered by snow when it is storming and cold. Thats why i use traditional H1 and xenon lights. Thought then i need 120 ampere charger to produce current enought.

its correctt that they produce very little heat but i havent found it to be a problem no snow has gathered on my lights and ive been in heavy snow weather clearing snow and the lights did not get clogged by snow.
