zeter 4340 will not go in reverse

hello everyone, i just found your website, i have a zetor 4340 with a forward-reverse lever , or shuttle as some call it. it is stuck in forward. i can get it to go to the neutral position, and if i tap on it slightly with a hammer it will go into reverse and drive fine, but then it is hard to go back in to forward . it shifts fine from neutral to forward. any advise anyone has i would really appreciate, thanks !!!!!!

Hi, it sounds like you might have a problem with a selector lock. To get to these take the bottom dash panels off, then the centre section out of the floor. You will then see a row of 4 or 5 - 17mm headed caps. Loosen one of these on the L/H side . If this frees off your lever replace the selector lock.
