i have a zetor12145 that won't go into gear . more than positive its the clutch how big a job would the clutch repair be do i need to pull half the tractor to pieces to fix thanks
Hi before you split the tractor just check your clutch doesn't just need adjusting on the linkages under where the clutch pedal is and also check when depressing the clutch that the fork on the inside on the bellhousing is actually pushing on the clutch by removing the inspection plate because sometimes the weld on the end of the shaft on the outside let's go.
If all that is good splitting a zetor is about a 2 hour job if you know what your doing, maybe double that for a first timer, basically disconnect anything that connects the two half's( throttle linkages, hydraulic lines etc) also need to drop off the front cab mounts and support the front of the cab somehow (usually a handy block of wood long enough to sit between the cab and floor) also important to chock the pivot on the front axle or your engine will fall over when you separate.
To actually split it you will need some form of trolley on wheels with a jack ontop of it to hold the rear of the engine and push it forward, also putting a jack under the gearbox aswell.
