hi zetor world kings , we have recently bought a very rusty 3011 which has lay outside most of its life, everything was seized solid on it but we have managed to free everything out except the diesel pump . it just doesn't seem to be getting diesel up to the injectors at all , it is devoid of a starter motor so we are trying to start it by towing but no luck , today we resorted to changing the pump with a spare we have from a 3511 but it still has the same problem , it is getting plenty of fresh diesel and it will prime up to all the bleed points no problem but noting is getting to the injectors so no go ............... we have blown all the pipes out with an air line and even removed tthe side plate from the pump to make sure the little springs were moving wich they are ,the replacement pump has been lubricated at all the right points and it came off of a working tractor , the original diesel filter must have been in it from new because they were in a very bad way so we removed them and we are running her without filters at the minute , would this have allowed grit to enter the pump and cause a blockage of some kind ???any help would be greatly appreciated , terry .

is there white diesel fume on the exhaust pipe when you crank it ? and did you also change the lift pump with the 3511 ? Lift pump pistons tend to get stuck and not return by spring.

no smoke at all renze , , yes it is the lift pump from the 3511 that we are using but the piston does seem very stiff and hard to move at the rear of the priming pump , could this be the problem??? it will prime up to all the bleed points no problem .

prime pump is not the lift pump..

well we managed to get it running today after a lot of head scratching , we think it was down to the rod that is behind the excess fuel button , it was seized solid and wouldn't budge at all so we spent a while with penetrating oil and kept moving it over and back gradually until it freed out completely , after a quick re-assemble and a tow she fired up at last . thanks for you help and knowledge renze .

yes thats the control rod. Since we knew that trick we made some money on old Zetors that were put away in working order, but never started again after winter. After filling them entirely with diesel, then operating the rod with a screwdriver because the governor doesnt have enough force, bleeding the red rusty diesel off and filling with oil to the max, then use it a day then drain the oil and fill fresh oil to normal level, they'd increase about 600 euro in value ;)

But then your 3511 pump was out of lube too ???
