Hello!

I am here because I have taken custody of my familys old Zetor 3045, the family have been in forrestry for 7 generasjons and my son is the 5th generasjon driving "old blue". It originaly had halftracks and a gondola type winch, it was primarily used in steep areas where the heavier equipment struggled. I am about to restore it now, it is really in good condition and has been in full work until this summer. The 4wd broken sometime in the 80's and was never fixed.

Are trensmission/driveline parts for these possible to get hold of?

The 3045 is very rare i Norway, and this one is in very good condition as well. I'm happy that you are taking good care of it.
For 4wd parts I'm not sure. I've heard that they can be hard to find. Did you check with Per Olav Nyseth from Snertingdal. He has good contacts in the Czeck Republic and can order parts for you, if needed. Good luck on your project.
Kind regards,
Lars

Brilliant! Thnx! I have to pick it apart and see whats broken. Its apparently not the "usual" problem, but the transfercase that hit a treestump. I have a packed barn i need too dig through. The parts are supposedly in there somewhere😅 but somethin IS broken i just dont know what yet.

Hello and welcome Kristian! :)

I also had a Zetor 3045 until 3 weeks ago, but as far as I can remember, the front wheels were smaller than yours.
Please check before you repair the all-wheel drive whether the front wheels match the rear wheels - keyword all-wheel drive advance.

What other parts are there:

Front axle

  • the drive shafts in the front axle, as a replica in 2 qualities, make sure you get the ones with the double universal joints and NOT the ones with the single joints

  • the ball seals on the steering knuckles should still be there, they should be the same as on the Tatra 850 - it's worth taking a look at Tatra parts dealers here.

I still have a set of brand new seals, if you need them, I can also send them to you in Norway.

  • the bronze bearing bushes in which the shafts of the front axle run are no longer available, but I have exact dimensions so that you can have them turned. It is important that the lubrication groove on these bushings is a loop groove and not a cross groove!

  • Ball bearings are standard, use ZVL, ZKL, SLAVIA, SKF or INA

  • There are no new axle bodies available. I had a new one from the factory, but I sold it with my 3045. Gold dust, no diamond dust.

Cardan shaft under the engine
  • you can have these made with new joints, I don't know of any ready-made ones

All-wheel drive transmission under the manual transmission
  • ball bearings are no problem
  • axle housings or shafts and gears are probably no longer available - the only option here is to find a butcher or have them rebuilt

Transmission
  • largely not a problem as it is the same as the Zetor 3011

Engine
  • no problem as long as the housing is OK

Covering
  • there are no more bonnets for the 3045, you must save the original one here
  • rear wheel arches are available as replicas in very good quality (the ones from Poland, not the ones from India!!)

And never forget one thing - you can only switch on the all-wheel drive in the road group, never in the field group... otherwise it will break.

Greetings from Germany. :)

What is the "road group" and "field group"? Is it the same as high series and low series gears?

Rabbit and turtle group, fast group and slow group,
the right one of the both two short gearshift lever directly in front of the seat ...

I think so. Yes.

Sorry for my English, its not the best I know but I try my best. :)

You're doing great :)There are just different wording for everything around the world.
Interesting to learn more of it ;)
