I have a 1998 zetor 3440 with about 500 hours on it. Recently it has smoked alot out of the blow by tube with some oil coming out as well. Everything I have read tells me the rings are bad. Any ideas or suggestions?? Doesn't seem like the rings should be bad with such few hours?
I thought first that this tractor with hours and small engine, that with it smoking was the tractor needed to be worked hard to clean out soot, that air filter and diesel filter be changed that injector pump is dirty inside or the injectors nozzles are not clogged
just put a bend in the crankcase breather pipe like a u so have it heading up first then a bend and down that will stop oil leaving and allow the crankcase to breathe. As the above poster says load the engine and that will help big time .
