Hi everyone.

I am restoring a Zetor 3545 and I was wondering about how to get the seals for the hubs/swivels tight, as they are prone to leaking oil if not in perfect condition.

The felt rings are gone on mine and the "scraper"-ring is old and worn, might need new ones. at barlowsag they have new ones but they cost a fortune ( the scraper ring).

I was thinking about using grease but I am worried about the lubrication of the needle rollers in the half-axle joint.

regards Are. Norway

I suppose the general question is whenever grease is good enough for lubrication of the half axle joint. Or is 90 gear oil the only solutions for these hubs. Any toughs on the matter are welcome.

I had the same problem a few years ago and some one advised me to use the thinest grease, I've just had a look at the tin and it's "semi fluid grease" grade 000.
It seems to work fine ,it does not run out and I presume it's lubricating the roller bearings fine.
Best of both worlds then?

Thanks for the replay. I guess it might work.
Is that grease good for cold weather as well?
