Hay

Donk you think she looks better on the last picture!

A tractor is made to work not to look nice!!

What does everyone think about it?

she didnt even work properly when i got her.;)

shes been gone through completely.

in my eyes tractors should look tidy not falling apart!

From an ex3545 owner
Think you have done a fantastic job, mine looked a bit like yours (before pic) and took a lot of work to bring it to a safe and reliable state, which you can be proud of.
Regards, Marty

From the land downounder

thanks im glad someone likes her:) she took about 12 months to restore to her current state. and lots of money! but i do really like her.

Really nice job, Matthew, What did you do about the cv joints and seals in the end ?
Dave

halfshafts were ok one was missing when i got her so i traced one in somerset. for the hyb seals i used oil seals D lip type and filled the hubs with fluid grease they seem to work ok. i used a land rover serie 2 propshaft and adjusted it to suit!

you made your own mudguards ?
there wasnt much left of them...
When our dealer had their spring show, i closely inspected some of their own restored classics, to get an idea of what the mudguards should look like.
The curvature isnt that complicated, I think i can weld a piece into the rear end of the mudguard to make it indistinguishable from original. it will take some time but my employer gave me a contract for only 8 hours a day ;)

yes renze i had ones made by my fathers friend who does blacksmith work. he has a folder and big equipment ect! i wasnt prepared to pay 650 for hand made ones in the uk! i had these made for 150. they are perfectly doog made from 4mm palte so quite beefy stuff! the old ones wer quite battered i sold them to a friend with a 4511! shes a lovely tractor my 3545 goes like a dream hoping to get her out rolling and chain harrowing when the time comes. i have to be honset she is a little gutless but im use to driving 60-100hp tractors so a 37hp is going to seem different.

My 3011 has the same engine, and i have no complaints !!
When i first had her pulling the 5800 liter manure tanker, it spitted a rooster tail of sparks out its pipe, at night in the darkness :D
After 2 tankers, the sparks were gone and the engine could breath freely. because it just makes 2000 rpm and has the smaller 28" tires of a 2011, it runs only 30 km/h instead of 37 like our 5245 does, but on the road, with these smaller tires, it pulls as good as the 5245.

i have a lovely 5 tonne field roller here. when the time is right ill let her loose on that. see what she is made of!! my massey will take it with ease rolling at 10 at night no lights jsut keep going sparks now and again!

Impressive work indeed!

It looks like a brand new!

It is a shame that in finland we didnt have those models at all. Least i think so. We had only blue ones and older 2wd models, and then bigger 2wd models. Really first 4 wd models came here as 5945 and 6945. Like we had our first zetor .

About car/tractor body works. It is not difficult at all if you make it for a trade. New Plastisol construction sheet metal, 2 compound body glue, and some akryl before nice bright painting. But if you do it for yourself, and properly.... Well it takes time and skills.

I have quick-cond. few own cars for a trade, them looks nice but when you see them after a year.... ;)

yes tomz lookin grand! shes a lovely little tractor will have her earning her keep over the summer!

by the way thanks for all the comments!

matthew

ive just read back through all of this renze you said you used your 3011 on a 5800 litre tankers isnt that 1200 gallon tanker? your a brave man towing that with a 3011:eek: i havent seen one that size been toweed around here with less than 70 hp!!

matthew

Matthew, i've used it with my brothers 2011 as well... the 2011 really is tamed on 5800 liter...
Anyways, dont forget that we're on flat land, which makes quite a difference

i see renze all around here is quite hilly and steep so i suppose we need the extra power! my 3545 was out with us today moving the roller about to make room for logs we have cut up! she took the roller with ease!!
