hi i need help , i have a zetor 4712 and having problems with pto shaft not driving.... what can i do to fix this problem....

George,
Items to check :Is it in gear ? the small gearstick to the left on the floor should be one "click" up from the front. The speed change lever which is the one that rotates in the centre -back, on the floor, should be hard over to the left for 540 and to the right for 1000 rpm. normally use 540.
Is your compressor engaged ? if not just use the hand clutch, thats the one facing backwards on the left of the seat. if it is then its possible that an electrical glitch is holding the clutch out of gear so disengage the compressor and try it when the air is down. Good luck
Dave

Dave 4712 & 4718 did not have 540/1000 PTO option, hand clutch on top of gearbox between legs, PTO lever in lowest position to engage 540 & Hyd pump up one neutral, up two landrive & Hyd pump, up three Hyd pump only.

thanks for these comments, but still having a problem, levers between legs seems to be working ok speacialy the right side.... the left hand side seems to be doing nothing, just wandering if this is normal or do i need to take the top off and take a look!!!!
can any one help !!!!!!!
regards George

OOps, I stand corrected Alan, was thinking 5211, sorry.
George, there is a little pin that goes through the PTO gear stick and the shaft , they shear quite easily, so check that and replace with a roll pin. the origional would have been a solid pin with a knurled end to stop it coming out
