Zetor 4911 cold start

Hi guys,

I bought a zetor 4911 last year, and it did a fine job throughout the season. I parked it in the barn for the winter, but now when I've tried to start it up to get it ready for spring, it wont start.

The cold start push button doesn't hold itself in when i press it.

The engine runs when i inject "start gas" into the air suction, but stops as soon as i stop injecting.

I've cleaned out the "old diesel" and filled it up with new, and there seems to be no issues with the diesel supply to the engine.

If there's anyone who can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Hi.
Sounds like the rack inn Your injetorpump has sised, take the front cover off the pump and spray som penetraiting oil onn it and try to free it upp vith a skrudriver, you shold see it move vhen you move the trotle and the coldstart augt to pling onn att full trotle.

See the answer is Brandy, that's like the young lad was on the telly that was doing up the Massey 35 for the world record but couldn't get the tractor going because the injector pump was stuck.

Dont forget the throtle needs to be fully open full revs to get the cold start button to work

You should had said that Brandy, your 5718 would have been the same, press in a cold start button, I forgot to mention that.

5718 was here when i was in school do you know how much water gone by since

Ya if the throttle is at 3 o'clock in the off position then it needs to be at the 6 o'clock position or more for the cold start button to stay in. You want to check the throttle linkage on the pump is moving.
