I have a zetor 5011(1983), with a steering cylinder problem. The fitting at the front of the cylinder where it attaches to the frame became worn and loose. I tried to tighten it but it was so loose the threaded portion at the front of the cylinder were stripped and the cylinder disconnected. When I tried to get parts as shown on the parts manual the part numbers shown were no longer in use and the parts were not available.

Although a substitute part may be available does anyone have another idea to fix the tread in the cylinder so I can reuse it. The fitting where it attaches to the frame will be replaced to eliminate the looseness at the frame.

Help !

The fitting at the end of the cylinder is like a tracking rod end so you can replace it and on the parts book it shows a locking nut so you could thread on the nut and weld that to the cylinder.

But those power steering systems has been used for ages so it must be possible to get one off a scrapped tractor either.
