Does anyone know the differences between an early 5211 and a late model? I have one of each to go look at and was wondering about them. The later ones seem to have more power and torque as well as a pre air filter mounted on top of the bonnet. There are also larger plastic radiator vents at the sides but is that all? How was the extra power and torque provided? Had they different injector pumps, heads etc?

Thanks, Joe

I didn't think there would have been much in the difference in a few years, we had a 1987 7245 and a 1992 7745. while they were different models to look at them only for the air filter sticking up over the bonnet they were identical.

It wasn't till the 7340 came it actual looked different.

Thanks DIY Farmer. I had a look on Konedata and it pointed out the engine output differences as well as a slightly uprated hydraulic flow rate which probably means an uprated pump. I would imagine these improvements could be achieved with the 84 to 87 model as well though I wonder what they did to get more power and torque.

It also mentions a difference in height and length which I suppose might be down to the taller wheels they mention for the 87 to 93 models, though any I have ever seen only had the small, wide wheels.

It's a minor thing to be wondering about but given that I hadn't noticed before, it piqued my curiousity.

Thanks again,

Joe

We never had a tractor as small as 5211. So I don't know what size tyres are on it but on the back of 7245 were 34 , and were the same on the 7745.
