On the water pump I have a slow drip from a hole at the top of the bend that feeds into the water pipe connected to the radiator.

Is this likely to be a rust hole or is it the location of a weep hole?

Any help appreciated.

I have sourced a new water pump but before investing need to know if I need it?

Can't find any information in workshop manual.

Sounds like a job for Plastic Padding "Leak Fix"!

Your water pump is OK is the impeller shaft rotates smoothly without any play in the bearing.

Yes it is a weep hole, replace water pump ASAP as the leak will get faster, resulting in overheated engine!
