Got my hands on a tractor that has L and R of the rear axle reduction assembly snapped off, so I'd like to find some new/used assemblies before I try to weld them back together.

Dont bother welding them, even when you load them so light that they dont snap, warping from welding will eat bearings.

Any 4 cylinder portals will fit, even if you have to put your own 30 or 40kmh reduction gears in them.

When you say any 4cyl, do you mean still just Zetor ? Or any tractor like Kubota, mahindra, or any other tractor of the same size with portals?

He mean Zetor - near by ebery Zetor 4 cyl model rear axle. up from 5511 to 7245

Its just that 5511 had M16 between portal and reduction, from 1980 onwards or so, this was M18x1.5

The Proxima has one piece castings, the entire bolt joint is removed. If you have already broken both portals, you might want to get beefed up Proxima portals...

Yes, thats a point.
Its easier to find a complete gearbox with rear end and portals - then its easier and you will have a bigger choice.
