zetor 6748 opinion

hi newbie calling. i have took a chance and t bought a 6748 looks to be in very good condition. what do i need to look out for problem wise.
how reliable are they etc.

which manual is the best to get to show how all the levers etc work. I know nothing about tractors. I was shown but have already forgotten.

where is the best place to put a hydraulic return to, i am thinking of going into the filler cap.

i was going to put some photos on but struggling to work that bit out as well.

filler on top of gearbox near your right foot is as good as any.

a lot of the dynamos and regulator boxes get replaced by lucas alternators, apart from the brakes are probably crap most of the rest apart from the electrics is reliable.

manuals occasionally come upon ebay... the 5545 is the same except for the engine horsepower and the 5511, 6711 are the 2wd varients... 5518,5548,6718,6748 are the same except a factory fitted cab so a book on any of them will tell you what you need

thanks for that. still getting to grips with all the series model numbers. i will run it back through the filler as advised.

i do have hilly/undulating land soi will have to keep an eye on the brakes. is it a big job to change.
