Hello there, I bought a tractor last year, was in a shed parked for 9 years. My one was bought new in Pratt's Abbeyleix and the owner died in 2015 and the tractor was never started again until 2024

We've had this one since 2000 , it's been laid up about a year maybe more , as a result the brakes are seized and engine oil is gone to sludge , not to worried about the brakes , more so just wondering about the engine oil , can't drain , was thinking about putting a drip of diesel in it to loosen it up , or would she get it loosened herself if she was started

Can you not open the sump plug? Did you use a spanner and a hammer to hit the plug before you try opening it? or are the edges rounded? If so the right thing is to weld another nut onto the sump bung. That heat will help open the bung along with giving another nut to try open.
