zetor 7245 2 wheel drive will not work why?

I am looking at a 7245 with 1,300 hours, cab and loader plus 4 wheel drive for 3,500. The problem is it will only move when in 4 wheel drive. The man said he was using it and it just stopped. Any ideas? is it worth 3,500? Thanks Mike

Hi

Could be many things but most likely it has sheared the rivets holding the crown wheel onto the diff. Could be halfshaft broken etc etc.

My advice is to offer scrap value ,200 per tonne, about 800.
Otherwise walk away, it could be come a money pit!!
