Zetor 7245 (1984)
I own a 1984 Zetor 7245 and I have had the bearings on the front hub start making noise. (Bearings shouldn't make grinding noise.) I rebuilt the front hub on the other side about twenty five years ago. I have the parts and I am ready to fix it but one of the main problems I have is that I don't have a special puller/press needed to do the job. I borrowed one from my local Zetor dealer back then but they have since closed shop and the next closest dealer is hours away. When I talked to them they didn't even have the puller but they could get me one for around $1,200 American plus shipping. If I do a return when I am done with it I can get about 80% back minus shipping fees. (OUCH!) I have no problem buying tools but to spend that much for a tool I haven't needed for the last twenty five years seems a bit steep. The mechanic I talked to all of those years ago said that he knew of a few guys that built their own and as simple as it is I can see why. I want to do just that because I can't find a decent price to buy one. I just need measurements. I've included a picture of what puller I am talking about. I just need measurements so I can get started. Even pictures with a ruler or tape measure beside the pieces of the puller would be a great help . Can you help a guy out? Thanks
