I have a Zetor 7245. Havent been super impressed with it. I had to have the breaks completely rebuilt, the 3 point hitch intermittently doesnt work, the pto clutch doesnt always work. Today my steering broke. The steering wheel just spins. Im thinking something broke where the steering shaft goes into the steering box. Can anybody tell me if theyve had this problem, or somewhere to find a good diagram of the inner workings?

There is a steering box at the bottom of the dash console that can ware the notches off, also there is a telescopic shaft just under the steering wheel that can ware too. Also look at the power steering ram to see there's not a problem. If the pump was gone the steering would become very heavy.

Sounds like you had the same problem I have right now. The bearings come out of the nut at the bottom of the shaft. Were you able to fix it? I'm have trouble trying to figure out how to get in the steering box. Also, if you did get a new one, what was the part number? I bought one, but not 100% sure it's the right one.
