zetor 8441 timing

I recently had to repair an engine that had a spun rod bearing on an 8441 proxima. I followed the timing proceedure on the paper i was given out of a manual . I removed the center gear and turned all other gears so all marks lined up when i put the center gear back in. Im pretty sure they were right on when i put it back together but when i fired up the tractor it is blowing alot of white smoke and running rough. Seems like injector timing is off. Any ideas on what i can do besides taking it all apart and starting over?

Injector pump was one tooth off if anyone cares. Apparently the mark on the idler gear was supposed to be on the 4 and i had it between the 3 and 4 on the injector pump gear. Took some extra work but it runs great now!
