We have 1998 zetor 9540, done 7000 hours and it has a problem with hydraulic systems.
the hydraulics didnt work at all when we got it. I changed all O-rings seals and bearings in the housing between the 2 pumps, also split the tractor because shaft for oil pumps was worn. the systems came alive when I got the back side of the tractor to a higher ground. Now the 3point hitch hydraulics work fine if the tractor engine is running and it is on level ground but if the engine is turned off and then started again after about 15 minutes, the hydraulic pump starts to cavitate and 3point hitch is raising hard and slowly after some working it seems to get its oil up and starts to work normally again. Now the Pto and torque multiplier pump starts to work only when back wheels are on higher ground and pto is engaged from lever. If tractor is driven to level ground and pto is disengaged it wont engage anymore after 5 minutes and have to get back wheels on higher ground again to get it work.
Also i cant use pto and torque multiplier at the same time cause when the lower gear is selected, the pto clutch starts to slip.
If only Pto is used it wont slip at all.
It seems like the oil flows back to gearbox housing after stalling but i dont know why.
This tractor can only be parked on hills
Anyone has any ideas what to do?
By the whey what is the Oil change interval on this tractor?
