hi
firstly just to say hi to everyone on this forum, it appears to be very helpful.
i am interested in buying an old zetor crystal (unknown model) from a riding stables who no longer use it. how much should i offer?
from memory it is 2 wheel drive , has a cab and a loader but is in very poor condition. it will need lots of work. i think the steering is bad, the cab is ruined and i think there are lots of oil leaks.
as you may have guessed it had had a hard life!
it will be fixed up (if i get it) and used on our 30 acre farm, taking a lot of work of our ancient grey fergy!
any help would be great
cheers

You don't say where you are located, This tractor will probably be an 8045. Base price in UK is 800 for a running wreck up to 1500 for an untidy one with a loader. These prices are governed by a strong demand from countries like Poland where they go for re-building.

OOps, Sorry , Mods. I'll try and get it smaller !!
( This was added because I managed to get an icon almost as big as my computer screen)

hi
thanks for replying, im in cornwall, england. i guess i was thinking of offernig up to 400 for it, but maybe ill go higher?
i was dreading youd say that i wouldnt get it for under 1000
cheers

hi
i would hardly even call it a running wreck if it is anything like i remember it.
the reson imj interesetd in it is that i hope to get it cheap

It sounds like an 8011 to me if it is 2WD.

I'd try and buy it off them as spare parts for another tractor - you should get if for 300 to 500 this way.

hi
yeah that sounds like a good idea, i dont want to spend much more than that on it. im thinkong of possibly paying partly in money and partly in hay bales, because we have loads kicking around and there ernt many around this summer. also ours are small square, which is good for riding stables.
thanks

You are right, Renze, 8011, sorry about that.
WB, how far over the border from us civilised people in Devon?

civilised.....ha!

im quite far down, near truro
why?

Have quite a few friends in Cornwall, but I cant think of any near Truro.
Always annoys me though that you have to pay to leave Cornwall.

yeah it would be good if you had to pay to gat into cornwall, it might deter some of the annoying emets we get down here every holiday!
