I hope this works , I am trying to find front replacement gears for the front axle of my 1995 Zetor . i am new at this here in Michigan as have only had the tractor a short time before the gears gave out. If it helps the serial number is 2874 and it is the one with the power steering on the right side. I believe they are called the worm and piston, or ring gears. I am talking to a man in Grand Rapids but he says he can't find these parts. Can anyone help ? Thanks Jake

Try these places:

Beard's Farm Supply 705-325-3133

Are you talking to mccormich by grand rapids. My suggestion is
to call the american jawa. they should be able to help you.
curious, where in michigan do you live. There is another dealer in Kent City also that sells or use to sell zetors.

Live in West Branch and have a friend at tractor supply that is trying to find a dealer. Do you have a name and /or number for the dealer in Kent? The one in Grand Rapids came up empty handed. Thanks a bunch.

Also would appreciate information on American Jawa- number etc.

american jawa number is 188-357-5105. they should be able to help you. I would call them and ask them to help me. they would have the numbers for dealers. There is also a dealer in remus, MI by the name of smith's. if they can get you numbers for the dealers, then I can look. also there is a guy that post that he has access to discounted parts, he is in europe someplance. look thru the post you probably find it.

Hi Jake
The gentleman the guest is refering to is Igor, he's in the members list. His e-mail address is 'marko.igor@euroweb.sk' . You could also try Roy Perfect, he's in the list too. Igor has good credentials according to members who have dealt with him.;) I've used Roy and he is also reliable.:D
Good Luck

Wow! I am totally awed by the response, small but mighty. The information recieved on this web site by the members is outstanding and has been a great help . Trying to get parts at a discount has proved a big chore until I came across your web site. Thanks to all and if anyone elde knows of someone in Mich. that can work on zetors , I will be happy to hear from you. Jake

Hi Jake,
Are you sure of the year of manufacture of your 4340? ??? With such a low serial number I would have expected more like 1965!! Could you post your engine number here as well? I am in the process of trying to date my 6718 and this info would help !:D
Best wishes

I think you will have a job to find any Zetor dealer with the parts in stock. They would probably try to sell you a complete front axle.If you have a dealer with a good parts counter man you should be able to order the parts and wait for them to come over.Although if your axle is an Italian Cararro axle you may be able to try a Case/New holland dealer if you can find out what type of axle it is.We had a JD 1640 with a ZF axle on it that was rebuilt with a second hand Ford front hub at one time!.

mcj- guess what ? I did have the model number transversed. Turns out it's a 3430 model and yes it is a 1995. Anyway I found a guy in Alpena that has ordered the parts and expects them in 2 weeks. Unfortunately the dealer in Grand Rapids decided to disassemble what I had sent him so now some of the parts are missing and some are chewed up where he used the wrong tools. I am keeping track of it all and hope to get some renumeration. Why he decided to take it apart insted of just ordering the new parts as instructed remains a mystery. A word to the wise................I expect I'll be in the neighborhood of 1000 to 1500 so what can I say. I made sure I met the people working on it now and explained fully what I needed., Turned out they had been the place where it had been bought. Small world. I'll keep you posted. Jake

wondering who the dealer is in grand rapids, want to avoid this place. also in alpena, is it don's or someone else.

I finally have it right. the model is a 3340 and i will try not to transverse anymore numbers! the dealer in grand rapids owns a machine shop and i delt with him through another party so can't give you his name. The one I'm working with now , that seems to know what he's doing is ron trish, on king settlement rd. in alpena. Phone is 989-379-4775. I won't have anymore news until he calls in a couple of weeks. I have the feeling he's pretty reputable. Jake

A dealer told me today that there is a parts distribution warehouse in Pensylvania. Does anyone know of one for zetor parts?

This dealer told me that he could send away there for parts but couldn't get the address or name from him????????????

That would be the head office for AMJawa,in Harrisburg. www.zetor.com or www.amjawa.com

That dealer is looking after his job!! He doesn't want you to know where he gets the parts from in case you bypass him.
