i would like to pull a zetor 2wd in the us. i see olelix team has a very impressive tractor over seas. i would like to compete against the 466 base engine in the jd and ih at 3000 rpm. any ifo would be great, i think the zts 6 cylinder engine is a well built engine and could handle what i want to do thanks in advance

When i was visiting family in Canada, i noticed that the Deere 404 in my cousins 4430 was as long as the 4 cylinder Crystal engine we had at that time. The block has huge reserves indeed, both mechanical as thermal.
A local contractor had a 14145 which struggled with the 6 meter mower/conditioner in a heavy 1st cut: they gave it a wee bit more fuel (they thought) but it became unstoppable, they could shift up and the tractor would just fly... Then they worried a bit and had it dyno tested at the dealer, turned out it had 205 PTO hp. They put it back a bit to save the PTO clutch.

ya renze i know the engine is pretty much bulit proof just need more info. i got a 16245 and a 12145 both 4x4 will have to make em 2wd or fing another donor. i will be competing in nebraska in two seprate clubs if i can get it to be competative.the obelix team in the uk has an awsome 162 that looks to have the big 183 engine but i dont know if ya can get any of those parts yet for that engine in the us. it would be 8.2l it apears that the only difrence in the engines is bore size. PLEASE HELP GUYS I WOULD LIKE TO SHOW SOME GREEN AND RED TRACTORS HOW GOOD THIS ENGINE CAN RUN.

Good Luck.
Here in New Zealand we have been treated to many appearances of Karel and his Zetor providing a fine spectacle at tractor Pulls.
Nations Field Day at Mystery Creek is the big event over 4 -5 days. The mighty Zetor had its share of things going wrong but it also did very well and certainly a crowd pleaser. At times the cloud of thick black smoke filled the entire arena, a unique performance. Flames several metres high out of the exhaust when throttling off. A magic sight making the blood run hot.

An excerpt from a 2009 summary

"Karel the crazy Dutchman was surprisingly absent for the first 2 days and made an appearance on Friday with his Swed trac "Super Swed' and the ever faithful Zetor. Some mechanical problems with Super Swed kept him up late every night before Fieldays, even leaving at 3am to head up for Wednesday. The best laid plans never go as they should and Karel spent Wednesday and Thursday working just down the road at Pirongia trying to get Super Swed running. Shearing the injector pump keyway for the 3rd time meant a quick trip to Hamilton to get some work done on the injectors (you just cannot force gallons of diesel through the injectors without stressing everything in between!!). Friday and Saturday saw the Super Swed take the track but conditions were never going to allow Karel to let fly but we all enjoyed the show and await the next time we get to see this mighty machine in action. 1000HP, pulling tyres, a purpose built tractor and a crazy Dutchman is a recipe that is sure to feed the imagination! Look out for Karel in Tauranga in February."

There are several Utube shot of Karel in flight.

UR2 engine was 110x120 making 6.8 liter, the UR4 had a longer stroke of 128mm making it 7.3 liter. UR4 engines are a hard find, and some people reported bearing failures due to improperly drilled oil channels in the crankshaft.

A Super Swed is most probably a Swed-Trac, an Ursus with an 8 liter Scania engine fitted, they were produced by the Swedish importer in very limited numbers.

while i have no problem with what you waste your money on,with the price of DIESEL in ireland and europe i wouldn`t be starting my tractor and waste diesel just to show off.
