Some questions about the models sold in the US.

I noticed on the Zetor Czech site that they offer the Major along with the Proxima and Forterra series. No mention of the Super which is still listed for sale in the US. Is the Super still being produced?

What about 3 cylinder models, Super for NA market? What happened to 3 pot Proxima model?

Also wonder why the 11741 Forterra (114 for other markets) isn't sold here.

>>> Could it be emissions compliance?

Hey Tom, I'm thinking US and European emissions would be pretty much the same at the present.

Maybe Chipperman can shed some light on the subject for us.

I notice from other posts that Chipperman still seems to be involved supplying tractors to dealers although I thought that this was been handled by Zetor direct in the USA since 2003.

The 3 cylindr Proxima 5441 was listed on the early Dutch leaflets as well as on the Czech Zetor website. Anyhow it seems that the Zetor management has decided to wait with this engine to make it the core engine in a new range in subcompactvineyard and orchard format. This will probably be based on the UR3 design, as Zetor announced that the Proxima will be the last UR1 update, that future models for the western european and N.A. markets would all be based on the UR3 design and that the UR1 would go into semi-retirement for the African and South american markets.

I think the Proxima will stay around for another 15 years in its current version, as an economy model for Western Europe. There will just be no further updates on this design.
